The pages are best with a monitor of 1024 x 768 pixel definition. A different definition will mean that the images rescale to different sizes and may not look very good. The photos are on the CD in full size, the display is only as good as your monitor's size can handle.
The CD needs either: (a) any Mac not older than three years or (b) a Wintel machine with Pentium, sound card, fast CD drive.
Make sure you have good sound!
You can get better viewing area by closing the navigation bars in your browser (see its preferences or menus or the side bars):
For Netscape, click the side bars: for Internet Explorer, use the View menu to uncheck the bars:
The Quicktime plugin (instructions) is needed for the movie clips and the panoramas (QuickTime Virtual Reality). The plugin for both Mac OS and Windows is also on this CDROM. Some movie clips play by themselves when you open their page, others must be started by you. All have a controller. Panoramas are manipulated with the mouse.
Note: navigation arrows may not align properly at the top in Internet Explorer. If this is annoying, use Netscape.
The site is made using CSS (cascading style sheets). Explorer and Netscape display these differently in some cases.
The HTML was constructed with Adobe Golive 4.
Both the pictures and the movies were taken with a Sony DCR-PC100E digital camcorder.
The stills were adjusted with Adobe Photoshop.
The panoramas and the scene were all made from stills taken without a tripod, and assembled in Apple Quicktime VR Studio.
The movies were plugged directly into iMovie2, cut and exported to Quicktime.
The editing was done on an Apple G4 biprocessor with the Apple Cinema display.
