Ah, yes, uploading the day's pictures
to the archive disks again.
20 years ago, the Thunderbird lodge was
the only acceptable place to stay in Chinle.
Now there is not only a range of hotels, but
the Thunderbird has become so blazé about
it all that the people at the reception were
just businesslike and uninterested.
