The Navajo call themselves "Diné"
(the word "Navajo" is "knife" in Spanish,
referring to their ways in combat)

This text was next to the mural of the
preceding picture.

Navajo is a very special language. It was
used with success in World War II to communicate
in the Pacific battles: the Japanese could not
understand it at all and therefore there was no
need to use encryption equipment, a big
advantage in fast changing situations.
