Canyon lands

The whole region is full of canyons:

The great inland sea that was present here in the Triassic (250 Myears ago) deposited a lot of sedimentary layers. These were subsequently lifted up, and the canyons formed. Bryce is actually a cliff phenomenon, not a real canyon.
